roadie grandmom-roadie grandma
The UK and the USA have long been known as ‘Two nations separated by a common language’ and because of that, some of the readers of this blog are calling it Roadie Grandmom not Roadie Grandma.
To get technical about it, I have 3 grandchildren and 1 granddog.
The three grand children call me ‘Nana’, which confuses the issue further, but putting that aside, even though they are half American, half English, they live in the UK so I am technically more of a ‘Roadie Grandma’ than I am a ‘Roadie Grandmom’.
The dog doesn’t call me anything, because he speaks Hungarian and we’ve never really had the deep and clear understanding that I enjoy with my grandchildren.
So, technically I’m a grandma, not a grandmom. But as long as you come and say ‘Hi’ after the performance (I’m normally selling DVD’s on a table near the exit) – you can call me either.
